Umbrella Plant - Schefflera

The name Umbrella Plant doesn’t sound like the most elegant in the world, but this plant certainly has some grace and sophistication about it. Also known as parasol plants because they often grow tall with colorful leaves that resemble an open-backed sun umbrella when fully grown (a bit of trivia for you: these umbrellas were once used by royalty), their shape makes them perfect choices if your garden needs height while providing beautiful color show every summer season!

Its age dictates its amount of leaves - so a mature plant will have over 12 leaves on one stalk, whereas a younger tree will have between four and six.

This plant originates from a tropical climate and is native to Taiwan and southern China, so alloing it to have enough humidity and warm temperatures will help it to thrive. If the leaves start to look yellow or droopy, this is a sign you could be overwatering your plant.
